About me and my practice
I work within the Person-Centred approach, in which a safe environment for you to explore and find your own solutions is paramount. I firmly believe that in the security of a trusting and equal relationship we are all capable of finding clarity and deciding whats best for us as individuals.
Choosing a counsellor can feel daunting and it's important that the person you choose is right for you. This is why I offer a free 30 minute initial meeting where we can get to know each other a little and discuss your needs.
Experience
There are times in life when we all need help and it can be difficult to speak to family or friends about how we are feeling and issues that are troubling us. Perhaps your relationship has ended; you're struggling to cope after a bereavement or want to find out who you are now you're retired. Or perhaps, you are feeling anxious or low and don't know why. If so, counselling can help by offering a space for you to speak freely to an impartial person, whilst giving you an opportunity to be heard and find the right path for you.
I have experience working with a range of clients aged 16 to 75 and as such, much of the work I do is supporting people through changes in their life such as: starting Uni, getting divorced, managing ill health or bereavement.
